Hello Hornet Fans!
Welcome to the 2020-2021 athletic season! We are happy to have our student athletes back on the field, in the gym, in the pool, on the course, and every other place for competition.
As we begin this adjusted season under very different circumstances, let us be thankful that our athletes have the opportunity to perform. Our fall athletes are all now in full practice mode, as we prepare for the start of competition. This year will be different, as we maintain social distancing and limit attendance at games, matches, and meets. At some of our events, no fan attendance will be permitted. We ask for your cooperation as we begin each sport season.
The attendance guidelines for our facilities/sports are listed below. These guidelines were developed with the guidance of the local Department of Health, CDC recommendations, and the Office of Schools. We are using a new digital ticketing vendor this year – Ticket Spicket. Entry to all events, paid or complimentary, will require a digital ticket that will be checked upon entry. Only persons with a digital ticket will be allowed to enter. We will offer “Live Streaming” for all stadium and gym events. The link for our virtual events will be accessible on the athletics website and emailed to families.
Due to the number of participants in each sport, and the limitations to our seating capacity, there will be no student tickets available until all parent opportunities are exhausted. Parents will have priority for attendance. Direction for winter/spring sports will be determined when those sport seasons are decided.
For all venues, attendees temperatures will be checked prior to validating a digital ticket. Attendees with a temperature reading over 100.4 will not be allowed entry. Temperature checks will be required for all athletes, coaches, and guests of administration.
Following CDC social distancing recommendations, seating is limited. Therefore, we will provide 2 tickets per athlete.
The message that we have shared with our teams and coaches has been to remain patient and be flexible. We ask for the same from our families as we do what is best to ensure our athletes remain healthy. It is our hope that these guidelines will allow our athletes to have a safe and complete season, especially our seniors!
We hope to recognize our seniors at their first or second home game/match. Look for more details as that date gets closer.
Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation and support. Any questions or concerns, please contact us at email@example.com.
