ROUND THE VILLA
"Making God's Love Visible" Mission Award
Judy McIntyre-an important part of our Housekeeping and Laundry staff for the past seven years-was the proud recipient of the Light of Hearts Villa Mission Award on January 4th. Judy was presented with an award plaque at a special Missioning In Service. The award is a well-deserved honor for Judy, who says that showing love and compassion to our residents is her top priority. She makes certain that she speaks with residents each day, and she takes great joy in making them feel loved, cared for, and respected. The annual Missioning In-Service is held each year in appreciation of our dedicated staff and volunteers. It includes the "Anointing of Hands" -an ancient rite recognizing those with special roles in the community.  The words of anointing are: "May this oil of gladness strengthen and sustain you as you make God's love visible."

January Birthday Bash
This month, we wished a very happy birthday to one of our residents, Anne, who also received a special proclamation from Mayor Stan Koci and Councilwoman Marilyn Zolata. Anne's family joined in to celebrate this happy occasion.

Chinese New Year at the Villa

Welcome the Year of the Rooster as our Villa residents celebrate the Chinese New Year.  Residents were treated to festive activities including a luncheon where they tried their hand at using Chinese chopsticks.

Chef Raymond Adds Another Year
On January 14, 2017 Villa Chef Raymond celebrated 26 years at the Villa. We could not be happier with his dedication and commitment!  Chef Ray has served up hundreds of delicious meals over those years. Thank you Chef Raymond!

Men's Group Dinner
Our Men's Group gets together for Bible study, reminiscence, companionship, and a good dinner! This month's Men's Dinner was an ideal way for the men to come together as friends.

Tea With Betty
We celebrated our monthly Tea with the residents in Lumen Lane. Everyone enjoyed the special treat.
