Dear Blue Tiger students,
Last February, I was honored to be chosen by the Lincoln University Board of Curators to serve as the 21st president of this great academic institution — your school. On this Friday, Sept. 9, I will formally be vested with the role and responsibilities during a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. in Richardson. Our traditional wreath laying ceremony at Soldiers’ Memorial Plaza at 1 p.m. will precede the ceremony to honor our founding fathers.
I would like to personally invite you to attend if you are able. Classes are not automatically cancelled for this event, but faculty members have been given the opportunity to cancel their respective classes. If you are participating in the ceremony as a student leader or a Blue Tiger Battalion (color guard), band or choir member, you will be excused from class.
Everything I do as Lincoln University president comes down to one purpose — ensuring each of you succeed in your college and career dreams with a Lincoln University diploma. I hope you are able to attend on Friday as we enter into this next chapter of Lincoln’s history together.
Sincerely,
|
