Dear Parish Family,
I’m writing today with a few updates.
Upon the retirement of longtime Director of Facilities Jim Cothran, I am pleased to announce that Steven Roy is our new Director of Facilities. Steven began work on September 11 and has been busy meeting the staff team and learning about our buildings and grounds and their maintenance and upkeep. I hope you’ll speak to Steven and give him a warm welcome when you see him around church.
Becky Depp, a Christ Church parishioner and seminarian at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, has been placed at Christ Church for her fieldwork. She will be with us 8–10 hours a week during the current school year. Right now, Becky is working in pastoral care and religious education/spiritual formation. She will also assist on some Sunday mornings. Welcome, Becky!
Vestry elections will take place later in the fall. The Nominating Committee, led by chair Bryant Nixon, has completed its work and presents the following slate:
