Dear Christ Church Family,
Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas season. I’m writing with updates on our transition process.
This past Sunday, The Reverend Canon Stephen Rhoades and The Reverend Canon Janey Wilson, both clergy on Bishop Richards’s staff, presented during the Sunday School hour about the transition process and what it will look like for us here at Christ Church. If you were not able to attend this informative session, you can watch it here.
Stephen and Janey will be working with me and the Vestry during this time of transition, offering advice and support as we navigate the interim period, call an interim rector, begin the search process for a new rector, and call a new rector. While these decisions will lie with the search committee and vestry, not the diocese, I am grateful for the support and guidance provided by the Bishop and his staff.
We are currently working to bring an interim rector to the church as soon as possible. The Bishop’s office is assisting in that search and our vestry will interview candidates and choose whom to call for this position.
I remain grateful for the outstanding staff we have at Christ Church and the work they are doing every day.
I will write again when I have more information to share. In the meantime, I hope you’ll let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
