Thankful for Our Heroes!

November is a time to reflect, give thanks, and honor those who serve. This month, we celebrated two groups who help strengthen our country: our veterans and our election workers.

Through the Vote in Honor of a Veteran program, we honor our country’s service members, both past and present, and share their inspiring stories of their sacrifices protecting our rights – including the right to vote. By highlighting veterans’ experiences, we not only honor their service, but also inspire our community to participate in elections. This program continues to be a meaningful way to connect younger generations with the importance of voting and help them learn about the real people behind the freedoms we have as Americans. To learn more about our honored veterans or to nominate a veteran or current service member, visit CollierVotes.gov/VETERAN.

We are also grateful for our election workers, the dedicated community members who help us conduct secure, transparent, and accurate elections. We could not deliver such excellent elections without their help. As we prepare for the 2026 Election Cycle, we look forward to welcoming back returning workers and inviting new residents to join our Elections Team! If you are interested in learning about how you can be an election worker, visit our Become an Election Worker page on our website!

Next Time You Vote, Vote in Honor of a Veteran!

During this season of gratitude, our office is proud to honor the heroes in our community who have served and continue to serve in our military. It is because of their sacrifices and dedicated service to our country that our rights and freedoms are protected - including the right to vote.

Election Worker Recruitment

As we approach the 2026 Election Cycle, our office is currently looking for Collier County residents who are interested in joining our Elections Team! This month, we attended a volunteer fair hosted by the Players Club and Spa as well as the Get Involved Collier! Volunteer Expo hosted by the Leadership Collier Foundation of the Greater Naples Chamber. During these events, our staff met with community members and shared the different positions that we offer and the qualifications needed to assist us during elections.

Collier County is known for conducting excellent elections, and we simply could not do that without the dedicated members of our community who serve as election workers. Each election cycle, we are fortunate to work with these individuals who generously give their time not only to our office, but to the voters here in Collier County. They are the true election heroes – helping us ensure that every election is secure, transparent, and accurate.

Welcome to the Team, Kristen!

Kristen Butler joined our Elections Team earlier this year as our Election Services Coordinator! She has been a welcomed addition to our office assisting with voter outreach and helping us prepare for the 2026 Election Cycle!

Born in Key West, Kristen is truly a Florida native and certified “conch!” Adopted at the age of 2, she grew up in Miami and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from University of South Florida in Tampa. Working with students & their families while raising her son, Kristen has been a part of the local community for over 25 years. After a yearlong solo trip throughout Europe, she is fully enjoying being back home in beautiful Naples with all her family and friends!

This month, our office hosted Transparency Tours for Leadership Marco and Leadership Collier. During these tours, both groups met with members of our Elections Team and got a behind-the-scenes look at our operations.
