We are raising money for a fellow student, Nivia Antillon's family member, who is living with cancer.   Karla is currently set for brain surgery to remove a tumor and with the cost so incredibly high we are coming together to help her and her little girls! 


In this fun interactive Asana Lab we will explore fun and challenging poses!  This is an opportunity to learn new poses and advance your physical yoga practice. Open to all levels, this is a unique class designed to create a safe and fun environment to try new things and feel comfortable falling or flying!  We will use virtual online teachers like John and Chris Yax and other teachers based on your suggested poses to explore!  Do all the poses or just a few!  Don't miss out!

This 2-hour workshop will incorporate the
vibrating resonance of drums with the practice of hatha yoga. The beat of the drums will allow you to relax more deeply into the postures & experience deeper breathing.
Experience a call and response session very similar to chanting that will allow you to de-stress and experience a meditative state of mind.

Finally, enjoy an extended final relaxation

Yoga for Back Pain 
Strengthening Series

The key to building up your back muscles has to do with having a regular yoga workout custom-built to target those problem areas. Think of the core muscles as the structural foundation that supports your body, just like the structural frame that upholds a building. The stronger the core, the better your posture.

In the first Yoga for Back Pain workshop we focused on gentle stretching and opening.  In this workshop we will focus on strengthening. In the framework of using yoga to relieve back pain, developing true core strength is a holistic process. It not only involves strengthening all the muscles of the core; it also entails training them to function together in an intelligent, coherent way.

As with all back-strengthening yoga moves, I will ensure that you move slowly and deliberately - never forcing your muscles if you feel uncomfortable.  Activating the muscles after we have properly aligned the spine is when the the healing really gets fired up.  With a committed practice you'll soon feel your back loosening up, your flexibility improving and your discomfort fading.
