To our Members,

As we continue to navigate these unprecedented times, we will continue to update you on our commitment and actions to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

For the health and safety of our community, and due to the Governor's Emergency order of March 26, our facilities will remain closed through May 4, 2020. Due to the extended closing, we have cancelled our Spring 1 program session, and we will be crediting the full cost of the program back to your YMCA account. We are looking forward to seeing you and your families during our Spring 2 session!

Currently, our efforts have been focused on emergency services – supporting those on the front lines of the fight against the virus, and supporting the most vulnerable in our communities – and providing virtual content to help our members stay healthy.
This includes our food distribution in Manchester for families with children, online classes and support for our Y-STAY students, checking in on elderly members, delivering supplies to those who are housebound, recording story time videos and healthy activities for our child care families, and offering virtual support to our members through online resources that help maintain their healthy lifestyle. In addition, several new emergency child care programs for essential workers on the COVID-19 front lines will be opening in coordination with key community partners.

We are proud to be able to meet these pressing community needs, and due to scaled back operations – we need your help. If you are able, I am asking you to continue your membership, which will be drafted on April 1.

Your YMCA membership has always been about more than access to a building . Your Y membership is about making connections, and building relationships. It’s about ensuring that everyone – no matter who they are or where they come from – gets the support they need to reach their full potential. It’s about making your contribution to a stronger community – and we need that contribution more than ever right now.
We are committed to being there for you and our community when the tough work of recovery begins. In 2019 we provided over 1.8 million dollars in financial assistance to our members, ensuring access to Y membership and programs truly is “for all."

If you and your family experience hardship, the Y will stand by you, through programs like our Out of Work Guarantee – where families who have lost employment will still be able to enjoy the benefits of Y membership, while getting back on their feet. We ask for your support – to help us deliver emergency services and sustain our organization so we are able to jump back into action when the time allows.

So please stay with us . Please continue supporting the YMCA by paying your April membership dues. If you are unable to do so, and we know some of you may not, please contact our membership team at membership@graniteymca.org and they will gladly help you with questions around your membership, and Spring 1 program credits.
And until we see you again, take care. We are hoping for a safe and speedy recovery for all our families, our communities, our nation, and the world.

Sincerely,
