Recently, information has been circulating on social media about another recent assault in the Town of Carbondale. We are not aware of any other assaults including sexual assault. We are aware of an incident where a Carbondale Officer found an injured lady in a parking lot. Carbondale Fire arrived and transported the lady to the hospital where she received treatment for her injuries. The lady reported to officers she had fallen from her car where she sustained her injuries.
We know our community wants to stay informed, and we respect that some details—especially in cases involving sensitive matters like sexual assault—must remain confidential. This confidentiality is essential to protect victims and uphold the integrity of our justice system. We are committed to both community safety and to supporting victims in a respectful, compassionate way.
The Carbondale Police Department remains steadfast in our commitment to your safety, but community safety is a shared responsibility. To protect yourself and other community members stay vigilant, and well informed.
