Something (re)New

My first camping trip didn’t happen until I was in high school and our youth group camped out next to a small lake that belonged to a family in the church. I didn’t have a tent or sleeping bag. I was unprepared and honestly didn’t know what to do at a campout anyway. I know, it’s not that difficult, but that was my mindset going in. Fast forward to today and I have been camping tons and love being outdoors. I’ve hammocked in what turned out to be a winter snowstorm. I’ve had my tent roof burst in a heavy rainstorm. I even had an Iguana run into my tent while camping in the Florida Keys! Camping has become a hobby I love. However, at that first campout, I didn’t have much fun overnight sitting in a chair next to a dead campfire waiting for the sun to come up so everyone would wake up and join me again. I had no way of knowing during that long lonely night that what I was experiencing with a little fear and anxiety would one day become something I love to do and look forward to. I had no idea God was doing something new in my life. I have so many great memories of camping. It has become a part of my story.

Campus ministry is an exciting opportunity be impact lives at a time when so much is new. Students are often experiencing life with a little fear or anxiety. Christian Campus Foundation has been around at UIUC since 1963 and has had an impact on so many lives already. You have the opportunity to partner with us to help current students let God do something new in their lives - to partner with us to help create some amazing memories through Christian Campus Foundation and to make this campus ministry a part of their story. You have the opportunity to help current students know and pursue Jesus.
