Citizenship Classes
The Somerville Public Library in partnership with St. Mark Community Education Program is offering a free, 10 week U.S. Citizenship Preparation class.
This class will prepare students for the citizenship interview including the 100 civics questions, the reading & writing sections, and interview questions based on your N-400 application.

The Friends of the Somerville Public Library are back with the Summer Book Sale!
The sale will be Saturday, August 20th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
ALL ITEMS will be priced at $1, and, as always, FSPL $50+ Members receive 50% off of everything.
The Friends use funds raised at the book sales to support library programming,making it possible for us to offer services like museum & cultural passes, special guest storytimes, language classes, and so much more!

The library is pleased to display the artwork of local artist Jasper Muse in the Gallery @ SPL with his exhibition: Saturated/Desiccated.
This work is imagined as retrieved from forgotten archives in a shuttered bureaucracy from the near past. Hastily, carelessly tossed into some back room in the face of new austerity. As the building fails, and these artifacts expose to the elements, they gestate, and new things are born.
