The first of its kind, the SDLA70 Adjustable Downlight from Lumenture sets a new benchmark for modern downlight design. Engineered for performance and practicality, it features patent-pending toolless tilt adjustment for smooth, precise aiming, a clean symmetrical cut-free cone, and an intuitive accessory basket that makes optic changes fast and effortless in the field.

Every detail is purpose-driven — delivering flexibility, visual refinement, and installation simplicity without compromise.

Lumenture is in town this week meeting with specifiers, offering a great opportunity to explore how the SDLA70 can support upcoming projects with smarter, more adaptable lighting solutions.

Meet LAP from Arancia Lighting—a modern, design-forward luminaire that works as beautifully for acoustics as it does for illumination.

LAP pairs a perfectly diffused satin acrylic spherical lens with soft yet durable 100% polyester felt panels to deliver bright, radiant light while actively reducing echo, reverberation, and excess noise.

Available in multiple sizes, configurations, and eight rich color options, it’s a flexible solution that elevates both performance and aesthetics. Whether you’re shaping collaborative workspaces, hospitality environments, or open ceilings that need a little acoustic help, LAP brings together lighting, sound control, and visual impact in one cohesive architectural statement.

Breaking into the lighting industry can feel overwhelming, especially when transitioning from intern to working on real project specifications.

Gianni’s advice? Start by learning the fundamentals—specifically, the most common fixture types.

“Familiarizing myself with standard fixture types helped me know exactly what I was looking for on projects,” Gianni shares..

A great place to begin is the Arizona Lighting Sales website. Browsing the line card by fixture type helps build a mental library of solutions and reveals how many different luminaires can work together within a single space. Reviewing application photos and spec sheets can further clarify which products are best suited for each design intent.

Manufacturers’ websites may vary in layout and navigation, but when you know the fixture category you need, finding the right solution becomes much more efficient.

“You’d be surprised how many fixtures interact with each other in a space,” Gianni notes.

And remember—you don’t have to do it alone. When timelines are tight or options feel overwhelming, the AZL Spec Team is ready to help.

“You can always ‘lighten’ the load and send us a request — we respond very fast.”

Building product knowledge takes time, but starting with fixture types creates a strong foundation for confident, efficient specifications
