A Letter from the President
Dear friend,
In these challenging times, it is easy to feel as though we are all treading strange, unknown paths — paths that seem dark and perilous, where the way toward our Maker’s shalom is hard to make out.
You have chosen to walk that road anyway. And you have chosen to walk it with ICS.
That choice matters more than you may realize. Over the past several years, ICS has become a learning community that refuses to hand out quick, worn-out answers and instead helps honest seekers sit with their questions. This shift is something we could only build because people like you stood with us.
We listened to voices in our grassroots community. Your voice was one of them. You helped us discern that people are looking for a safe place to bring their spiritual questions and to enter constructive conversation with others who are doing the same.
Now we are stepping into a moment that will set the tone for the road ahead.
My tenure as ICS President concludes on June 30. On July 1, Dr. Beth Green takes up the work of developing and extending what this community has built together. I could not be more hopeful about what lies ahead under her leadership.
But a strong beginning matters. June 30 also marks the close of our fiscal year, and the gifts that arrive before that date will give Dr. Green the foundation she needs to lead well from her very first day: the momentum, the resources, and the unmistakable signal that this community stands behind her.
