News2Know: Monthly e-newsletter from Women2Women
A note from Rachael Romig - Special Programs Coordinator
The new program year for Women2Women is here! We spent the entire summer planning these amazing events, meeting inspirational women presenters and are planning new aspects to our excellent De Mujer a Mujer events as part of our Latina Initiative. Make sure you register below today for our FIRST Women2Women and De Mujer a Mujer events of the year!

And in case you didn’t notice the change… we have a new look and logo ! A little over a year ago, three organizations merged to form the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA). It was during this merge that a new logo surfaced to bring together the look and feel of the new organization. The logo for GRCA evokes the building blocks of what makes a community succeed and thrive: community engagement and partnership. And as we evaluated the Women2Women organization, we realized that now would be a good time for a new look to again match our parent, GRCA. But there was so much more to it than that.

As the workplace changes, so do the needs and wants of the workforce, especially women in the workforce. While the Women2Women programming has been successful over the years (as our surveys and testimonials tell us), we also have been attuned to what our members were saying. For the upcoming program year, we have ensured that:

  • Events are spread out through all days of the week (except Friday)
  • Breakfast, lunch and after-hours event timeslots are offered
  • All events offer a takeaway, whether physical or not, that can apply to your daily life
  • Our De Mujer a Mujer events now include professional development workshops & the first ever Latina Lifestyle Conference & Expo

We will always meet with a purpose; we will always create new possibilities for our members; and we want all women in the community to find and realize their full potential. We will never falter from that mission. However, the women have told us what they wanted – they wanted to know that the connect ions they make within Women2Women will help them grow . From there, they wish to develop into our next women lead ers in Berks County. Make sure you keep an eye our for our Women2Women magazine and read more about the rebrand. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Olga Negron:
 First Latino Bethlehem City Councilwoman
We are excited to launch into our De Mujer a Mujer program year with a woman we had the opportunity to talk with a bit last year at our Women Who Ran event…Olga Negron! Join us as we start the new program year and hear about the changes you’ll experience when you join us monthly for De Mujer a Mujer! The experience of being the first Latino woman ever elected as a member of City Council truly made Olga the woman she is today. It was a lot of hard work to get to where she is and she can't wait to share her experiences with you. We will talk about growing your base, getting engaged with your community, and not allowing anyone or anything to stop you. Determination!
