Dear Church Family,

What a truly lovely surprise you offered me on Sunday morning, December 11! I want to sincerely thank you for your kind and generous gift, as well as the very thoughtful and moving presentation by Larry Root. Obviously, I was extremely touched by your outpouring of kindness on that day. My attempt to choke back the tears failed as I looked across your faces, the loving congregation of our great church. Even so, those kind expressions have not been limited to that one day. Since my first day at Trinity on Sunday, May 22, 2016, I have felt your love and support in such big and little ways, and in those six and one-half years I have truly felt at home. I am grateful to each of you.

I want to thank our wonderful staff for so many, many reasons. I'm so appreciative to Jeff for his fine leadership, his wisdom, and his truly exceptional understanding and delivery of the Gospel. (Additionally, I love him because he always seemed so happy to see my dog, Midas. Midas loved going to church to help, and also did a little singing in the choir room!) Many thanks to Jared, a man of many talents and abilities, who uses them for Trinity in a myriad of ways, always with a willing and welcoming smile. My deep and sincere gratitude goes to Julie Peak for six-plus years of friendship and for always being ready to assist in any way possible. In all of my time at TPC I never felt that she begrudged one single request for help from me. All in all, a truly remarkable staff you have in service at Trinity.

To the Sanctuary Choir, the handbell choir, the brass players, the pianists, the guitarists, percussionists and other instrumentalists, I simply cannot say enough good things in appreciation for your love and dedication to the music ministries of our church. A special thank-you goes to Patty Tanner for her invaluable assistance. All of you have made the beautiful message of Jesus Christ and the love of God come alive with your extraordinary songs and anthems and the dedication in which each of you offered your gifts. Upon my arrival I realized how special you were, and I've thanked God continually for leading me to work with such wonderful, loving people --- who just happened to be musically gifted as well! For my special buddies in the Sanctuary Choir, even though I now will not be able to see you on a two-time-a-week basis, be assured that I will never forget you and will think of you often, especially at 7:00pm on Wednesdays and 10:30am on Sundays! I will miss you.

As I move on to the next leg of my journey, I will have many opportunities to remember my association with Trinity as people ask about my time here. These answers will be easy! I will speak of "the beautiful little church in the wildwood" with deep fondness, love and respect. I will easily talk about the wonderful folks who make up the TPC family, and how truly welcoming they are for everyone. I will say that it's a place one can call home.

Much love to each of you,
