A powerhouse resume provides stability
Judy,* who had come to our Food Pantry for years after a crippling divorce left her in a very limited financial situation, just finished her paralegal degree from a local community college. She came to our College and Career Readiness program for help with her resume because she desperately needed a job to start paying off her school bills. After two meetings, she used her new professional resume to apply for a part time position as a legal aide and got it!
Judy said, "I am inspired! I used the resume we created together and am so happy to have a job that allows me to continue in school!" With the income from this new job to keep her stable, she is now able to consider continuing her education and is applying to law schools.
With support from this community, we are able to provide services such as the College and Career Readiness program to help our clients get back on their feet.
