Your Story Winner
A special thank you to Longmont Community Foundation for the opportunity to share our story. We are elated to announce that our staff's story has been recognized as the 2021 Your Story Winner. Here is our winning story and photo submission:

I want to tell the story of 80 heroes who faced the "pandemic dragon" and would not back down on their students, not during the most formative years of their life, even when it was "safer at home". So, they geared up, scanned temperatures, scrubbed toys and continued to advocate fore equity in education. They have knowingly risked their well-being daily in order to assure Wild Plum families would remain employed and hundreds of Longmont businesses would thrive.

How Wild Plum Center Measures Success
We are rounding the corner of the 2020-2021 school year which means our staff is in the process of completing TS GOLD Assessments in the classrooms.

TS GOLD Assessments monitor all areas of children’s growth – physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and language development. It also allows teachers to tailor lessons to student's specific interests.

When first entering Wild Plum Center, about half of our students are meeting or exceeding developmental expectations. However, more than 95% of WPC students meet or exceed expectations after being in our program for just one school year.

That's because WPC has a School Readiness Plan for every student and works closely with each child and their family members to look at TS GOLD Assessments which are made in the Fall, Winter and Spring.

We are so proud of our students and teachers for the remarkable strides they have made during an unconventional school-year.
Service Spotlight -LHS Cheer Squad
A special thank you and congratulations to the Longmont High Cheer Squad as they wrap up another cheer season, but not without spreading some cheer around town first!

Longmont High Cheer Squad used funds donated by business sponsors to hide Easter Eggs for WPC families that would benefit most from having something extra to smile about.

We are so grateful for each of the LHS cheerleaders and their support of WPC. From signing up to volunteer at our Annual Birds and Blooms Festival, to choosing WPC as their designated charitable organization, we feel encouraged and supported knowing these faces are committed to enhancing the lives of those that surround them.
