Hello friends –
This Sunday we will begin a four-week worship series: The Lord's Prayer. The series is based on Luke 11:1-4 which makes up Luke’s account of The Lord’s Prayer. It is simple, yet profound.
As each of us learns and grows in our spiritual lives, the Lord’s Prayer can take on new meaning. “Father, hallowed be your name” or “Creator, blessed be your name” first and foremost establishes a relationship between God and humanity. The relationship of a loving parent is unique among all relationships; there is no love like the love a parent has for a child. Jesus invites us to open ourselves in faith and trust like a child opens herself to a loving parent. Trust can be a hard thing to come by, and people learn to trust (or not to trust) the world by first trusting a parent. God embodies all the things a loving parent should be: trustworthy, loving, disciplining, patient, compassionate, and caring.
As we shared in last week’s Brief Note, worship is still ONLINE ONLY, but for the first time since March 8
it will be LIVE at 10:15. This is the link you will use to go to the live service:
. You may need to click on the red and white play button to start watching it live. Once the live streaming is finished, the service will continue to be available on the HPCC YouTube channel and can be watched at any time using the same link.
