Thank you to Shannon Persaud Tolnay and Kathryn Manning for their leadership over the last three years. As directors, they helped support governance excellence and positioned NYWC for growth. We welcome newly-elected directors Maria Cordeiro and Jodi Wright to the NYWC team.

December 6 Commemoration
I t has been 30 years since 14 young women were singled out for their gender and murdered at Montreal's École Polytechnique, on December 6, 1989. Please join us on Friday as we remember these women and all women who have faced violence because they are women.

30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
What a day it was! It was a full house on September 15 th as over 100 people joined us to celebrate NYWC's 30 th Anniversary. We welcomed long-time supporters and new ones – and everything in between. We were thrilled to see members who were at the very first AGM in 1989 and, 30 years later, continue to actively support the Centre and its work... 
HOLIDAY CRAFTING EVENT
We are hosting a crafting/anti-winter blues event right before the holidays start. We know the holidays can really get us down or stressed sometimes, so we’re offering this friendly space and fun activity to make things a teeny bit easier! All supplies and (non-alcoholic!) eggnog and snacks provided by us!

Registration is not required, but letting us know you are coming helps us figure out how much coffee to brew! You are welcome to bring a woman-identified/non-binary friend.
