Millennials have disrupted many traditional business models from television to banking... and, almost everything in between. But, there is one sector of the economy that has been getting a boost because of them. It's the franchise sector. Ten years ago you would be hard-pressed to find anyone in the franchising industry who thought people in their 20's or early 30's were prime franchisee candidates. For the most part, franchise ownership has been reserved for a small demographic of high-net-worth individuals -- or, executives from corporate America with the desire to go out on their own. But lately, that has started to change. According to theCanadian Franchise Association, over the past several years, roughly 30% of those showing interest in a franchise are millenials.
