Congratulations to our 2024 Women of Excellence Award Winners!

The following six women from our community were honored on Tuesday, August 13^th at The Woodwinds before a crowd of 150:

Branford

• Barbara Barrett – Excellence in Community Leadership
• Paola Rarick – Excellence in the Arts

Guilford

•  Deborah Abildsoe – Excellence in Investment Leadership
•  Judith Meyers – Excellence in Philanthropic Leadership

North Branford

•  Mary Ellen DiLella – Excellence in Historic Preservation
•  Rita Ney – Excellence in Community Involvement

WTNH Anchorwoman Ann Nyberg joined us as emcee for the ninth year and created special moments with each honoree. We thank Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro for attending and congratulating each honoree. The Congresswoman even showed off some dance steps!

We thank our state legislators Representatives Candelora and Comey for presenting certificates from the state legislature.

The Shoreline Chamber had a wonderful time at our first Lobster BAsH August 1st!🦞

The Guilford Lobster Pound was a beautiful setting with views of the water and cool breezes. Delicious food was served up by Aiden and Kenzie with attentiveness and smiles. The Guilford Lobster Pound is a great place for a private event or everyday dining.

Members were able to socialize over drinks and appetizers from Star Gourmet by Andrea Dante. The event was accompanied by a great acoustic performance by Sonic Pulse. We enjoyed authentic gelato and Italian Ice from Repicci’s. 

Members in attendance helped welcome Repicci’s as one of the Chamber’s newest members! Board Chair and Executive Director of Lumibility, Denise Daviau presented Repicci’s owner Marc Karpel with a Plaque to mark the occasion. Repicci’s is available for corporate and private events.
