January 2023 Newsletter

As we enter into 2023, we at The Margaret Home want to express our gratitude for your generosity in 2022.

Thanks to you, The Margaret Home had a wonderfully successful year-end campaign. Each gift is impacting the lives of mothers and their children forever by providing ...

  • A safe place to live before and after giving birth
  • A nurturing community in a comfortable home
  • The opportunity to finish her GED or pursue college education
  • Free occasional babysitting within the home while she works
  • Career counseling and job training
  • Spiritual direction
  • A self-directed action plan to achieve her goals
  • Onsite mental health counseling

Donors like you are not only impacting the mother and her child living at The Margaret Home, but you are changing the trajectory of their lives, breaking the cycle of poverty, and giving them more hope than they had the courage to wish for.

We appreciate you!

Heart-shaped word cloud describing volunteering

Seeking Babysitting Volunteers!

Do you have a few daytime hours to spare during the week? Contact Nancy to sign up for a two-hour shift between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm, or whatever length of time you can help.

Also, please spread the word that we are hiring Direct Care Managers and a Social Worker. Both are part time positions.

Service Festival

Our thanks to the volunteers who represented The Margaret Home at last weekend's Rochester Hope Service Festival, held monthly at St. Michael's in the city.

Our mission would not be possible without the generous gifts from businesses, foundations, and individuals like you. Learn more about our mission and donate by visiting our website at the link above.

We are grateful for your financial contributions, your time, and for the many household and baby items that our supporters donate.
