Cindy Biese:
Singing in Community

The Music School is honored to be the recipient of a generous bequest from Lucinda "Cindy" Biese, a beloved member of the greater Concord community who left her mark on music and the arts.

"Cindy was full of life, full of spunk and spark," says Music School Voice Department Chair Hannah Schramm Murray, who directed Concord's South Congregational Church choir, in which Cindy sang for many years. "She loved choral music, and she was a very loved and respected member of the choirs she was a part of."

A longtime participant in the Pemigewasset Choral Society (PCS), Cindy sang in concerts locally and abroad. At her memorial service, Murray recalls, about 100 PCS and South Congregational Church choral singers joined together to sing in her honor.
