To the Beloved Community of Nassau Presbyterian Church,
With a heart filled with gratitude and sadness, I write to let you know I will be retiring from ministry at Nassau Presbyterian Church effective November 30, 2025.
As I reflect upon my ministry with you, I cannot help but be overwhelmed by the countless blessings and graces God has bestowed upon us. Each and every day, I witness the power of faith and the transformative love of our Lord. God shapes us, forms us, and makes us God’s own. Your unwavering commitment to worship, outreach, and compassion have been my inspiration, and I am beyond grateful to have ministered beside you for twenty-four years.
I am particularly grateful for the trust you place in me during the most intimate moments of your lives. It has been an honor to celebrate the sacraments with you, to bless your marriages, to counsel and offer guidance, to weep and rejoice with you, and to accompany you in times of illness and death, celebration and happiness, grief and loss. These sacred moments have deepened my faith, enriched my family life, and profoundly witnessed to the mercy and delight God has for each of us.
Moving forward, Dave Davis will lead the transition with the HR Committee and Session in finding an Interim Associate Pastor to serve with you. I will continue to work with our magnificent staff and Deacons to make sure the transition will be smooth, and that our congregational and pastoral care remains on strong and steady footing. My husband Michael Brothers will continue on the faculty at Princeton Theological Seminary and so we will remain in Princeton.
Let us continue to encourage and pray for one another, even as our paths diverge. I have no doubt you will thrive in faith and grow in service, always guided by the Holy Spirit. As I move forward and discern how God is calling me to serve during retirement, please know that you will remain in my prayers, and I ask for your prayers as well.
I want to assure you, even as I took a medical leave this past spring, I am very well and am in very good health.
There is more information yet to come and I know we will enjoy conversations filled with laughter and tears. There is so much to be grateful for.
Please know how dearly I love you and care for you, for you are God’s treasure.
With the Peace of our Lord,
