Hello, Volunteers!
It’s hard to believe that the season is almost over, but here we are. Despite the challenging circumstances, the Lakeside staff has done a remarkable job creating and maintaining a successful Lakeside summer - as have all of you!

Thank YOU for your transformational hard work and effort this season. When Tom Jones asked us to form the Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps, we quickly said yes, knowing that Lakesiders have eagerly volunteered in the past and would again. It was gratifying and reassuring when more than 200 of you readily stepped up and joined, confirming our instincts.
You have helped in many ways, performing tasks that would not have otherwise been completed due to this season's reductions in staff. 

Thanks to all of you, Lakeside's grounds were maintained, programs ran smoothly with your help, and the season was a success. We have heard from many of you that you enjoyed working with others and felt personal satisfaction in helping out.

If your schedule permits it this fall, and in the 2021 season, we hope you will continue to participate as members of the Volunteer Corps. While this season it was especially critical, staff members need and value volunteer support every season.
This fall we’ll be raking leaves, painting, cleaning, etc. In the spring, we’ll have all the usual spring cleaning and preparation for the upcoming season. More details will follow. We hope that if you're available, you will consider participating in these volunteer opportunities.

We are SO appreciative for all that you did to help out this season. As we plan ahead for next year, we would like your input and insight as to how we can improve. Already, we’d love to establish some Volunteer Corps team captains who would lead volunteers in each of our parks.
