Delaware’s unemployment rate rose two-tenths of a point to 3.7 percent in October. There are some underlying signs of weakness in the labor market. Workers become unemployed for four reasons:
Job losers are those who have been laid off or have completed temporary jobs
Job leavers are people who have voluntarily left their job in search of better opportunities
New entrants are job seekers new to the labor market such as recent high school and college graduates
Re-entrants have re-entered the labor market after spending some time out of the labor market
