Dear friends,
Laura and I have just returned to Singapore after an extended stay at Ol Lentille, and as we reach the end of 2023, we wanted to take a moment to share a few recent developments.
First and foremost, thanks to your support, we are delighted to share that 2023 has been our best year ever. Guest reviews have been consistently great (you can read some of them on our revamped website), with consistent feedback that Ol Lentille’s cultural experiences move people on a very deep level.
With the rains finally arriving in late October, the Ol Lentille conservancy is now like a Garden of Eden. Our rolling hills are emerald green, rivers which we had forgotten existed are back - and the wildlife is loving it.
And with the grass back, our partner communities are thriving too, and have been packing in a lot of traditional ceremonies. We (and guests) recently attended many Maasai and Samburu weddings, circumcision ceremonies and various other big life events. As you know, access to real, unfiltered Maasai and Samburu culture is what we’re all about (the opposite of the “disneyfication” of local culture found in many other places). Here is a PDF about it.
