WEEK OF MARCH 30, 2026

From the Desk of Pastor Ahmad Washington, MSW, MDiv

Parents and church family,

I hope this message finds you well as we step into a meaningful week leading up to Easter. There are some exciting updates and a few important notes I want to share with you.

🎙 FAITH IN REAL LIFE PODCAST - EPISODE 1 IS LIVE!

We officially released the first full public episode of our Faith In Real Life youth podcast last week—and the response has been incredible.

It has been met with encouragement, enthusiasm, and strong support, and I couldn’t be more blessed by our students' authenticity and honesty in this podcast. They are speaking honestly about their faith, asking real questions, and stepping out with boldness.

Let’s continue to support and amplify what God is doing through their voices.

✝️ CONFIRMATION UPDATE

Confirmation continues to be a powerful experience for our students.

This past session, we dove into the Trinity, and Pastor Mike did an excellent job teaching and encouraging students to wrestle with the deeper, sometimes difficult questions of our faith.

Please continue to pray for our confirmands as they grow in understanding and begin to take ownership of their faith.

📅 Note: There will be no Confirmation class on Easter Sunday.

✝️ HOLY WEEK - PASSOVER (SEDER) MEAL

This Wednesday, we will gather for a special Passover (Seder) Meal as part of Holy Week.

This will be a meaningful and eye-opening experience that helps deepen our understanding of Jesus, Communion, and the story of redemption.

⚠️ Important: If your student is attending and has a peanut allergy, gluten allergy, or anything else we need to be aware of, please let me know as soon as possible so we can make proper accommodations.

🐣 EASTER SUNDAY - FAMILY TIME

There will be no Youth Sunday School on Easter Sunday. I want to give you a heads up about something very special we have planned:

We want to intentionally create space for families to:

  • Spend time together
  • Reflect on their Lent journey
  • Talk through growth, challenges, and takeaways
  • Discern what God may be leading them to continue or add to their daily spiritual practices

Easter is not just something we attend—it’s something we live out together.

🌞 REVIVE SUMMER CAMP - SAVE THE DATE!

📅 June 26–30, 2026📍 Latham Springs Camp, 134 Private Rd. 223, Aquilla, TX 76622

Go ahead and mark your calendars—Revive Camp is coming!

We are currently exploring fundraiser opportunities to help make camp more accessible for students who want to attend. More details will be coming soon.

CLOSING

God is doing something steady and real in our youth ministry. Students are growing. They're asking questions. They're stepping into their faith.

Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us—through your prayers, your support, and your willingness to stay engaged in what God is doing in the lives of your students.

Let’s continue to lean in together.

With gratitude and expectation,

Pastor Ahmad Washington, MSW, MDiv
