Representative Buddy Carter visits Langford Auto Parts

U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter stopped by AAAS member Langford Auto Parts in Brunswick, GA last month to visit with employees and learn more about the automotive aftermarket industry. Congressman Carter was eager to learn more about the legislative issues and concerns facing the industry, such as vehicle telematics, embedded software and autonomous vehicle technology. The implementation of these new technologies is creating rapid changes in the aftermarket. Communicating with our elected officials about the value of the aftermarket to our national and local economy and to the general public is essential to ensuring a fair and competitive market for aftermarket businesses. We appreciate Congressman Carter for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and hear our concerns.

Keeping Your Vehicle
Warranty Intact:

The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act outlines the requirements of a warranty and explains that consumers are not required to use branded vehicle parts or complete repairs at a dealership to maintain the warranty.  AAAS recently partnered with the Auto Care Association and the Division of Consumer services in Florida to educate consumers on their vehicle warranty rights.
