An adult female, estimated to be in her 20s, was struck by a train and was transported by Maryland State Police helicopter to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with injuries that are critical and possibly life-threatening

Additional Information:
Firefighters responded to a call of a person struck by a train on the railroad tracks south of the Amtrak Maintenance Center. Firefighters located an adult female who had been struck by a train and sustained critical, possibly life-threatening injuries. Paramedics requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter which landed at the Piney Orchard Elementary School. The Amtrak Police Department is the primary investigating agency.
