  • Call your Senators about ICE Funding

  • $26 for '26 - Donate to AADC today

  • Coffee & Conversation: Join us on Friday 1/30/26
  • Sign Neva's petition

We will have a demonstration today, Sunday afternoon, in protest of the lawlessness of this administration and ICE and ICE-adjacent agencies. Stand with Minnesota. This is the playbook for expansion of the military throughout the country.

TODAY, Sunday January 25 at 4:00 at the Bell Rd. overpass over Highway 80

Another horrific shooting yesterday magnifies the need to rein in ICE.

While leadership is saying that they will not vote in favor of the funding, it is important to keep up the pressure and call on the Senate to reject the current bill, and withhold their votes from any legislation funding DHS unless it:

  • Strengthens restrictions on ICE and Border Patrol’s ability to conduct dragnet arrest operations and target people based on their race, language or accent, place of employment, or location at the time of the apprehension;
  • Ends Border Patrol deployment to our cities and rejects its ever-expanding mandate in immigration enforcement; and
  • Limits DHS's reprogramming and transfer authority, including specifically preventing reprogramming and transferring funds for detention.

Use the link below to instantly contact your senators with a clear message: Protect our communities by reining in ICE NOW.

AADC General Membership Meeting - February 5, 2026

Plan to attend the AADC membership meeting (all are welcome) on Thursday, February 5 to hear Gold Country Media Editor Bill Poindexter spin stories about what it’s like to be editor of an entire cluster of weeklies, plus the Auburn Journal.  Get a behind-the-scenes look at covering political turmoil and rural struggles during an unprecedented time in American history.  A free press is the foundation for democracy because readers need to know the facts, but how does an editor balance the often conflicting perspectives of the public?  How do you get your article or your letter to the editor in the newspaper?

Join us to socialize with pizza and drinks ($5 for one slice and $9 for two) in the Rose Room at Auburn City Hall, 1225 Lincoln Way, starting at 5:45 (Note time change from previous meetings.) The formal meeting will start at 6:30 and conclude by 8:00. Bring your ideas, your energy, and a friend!

Donate to AADC's $26 for '26 Fundraiser

With the Trump administration attacking democracy and destroying our rule of law, we must do everything we can to fight back and support our candidates.

If every member donates just $26, we’ll raise enough money to keep the HQ open. In 2025, our volunteers spent hundreds of hours writing and stamping letters and post cards, canvassing, and distributing signs. Your donation will help us to continue these efforts and to create a place to meet and grow our community!

If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, or are able to donate again, please take this moment to join like-minded Auburn Area Democrats and friends to help us keep open this important center for action! Your donation will help us pay the rent and keep the lights on at our AADC headquarters.

AADC is recruiting volunteers to work as election aides for the June 2, 2026 Primary

election. AADC has agreed to partner with Sierra Foothills Unitarian Universalist Church (SFUU) to staff the 11-day vote center. We will be working at the Vote Center located in Auburn on Richardson Drive. Instead of individual volunteers receiving a stipend, AADC and SFUU will receive the proceeds. This is your chance to serve our county and to raise money for AADC. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Gail Bartlow at gbartlow@sbcglobal.net

Join us for a relaxing and stimulating Coffee & Conversation political meetup! We look forward to seeing you and hearing what's on your mind, Fridays from 10:00 to 1:00.

You can expect:

  • Open Dialogue: Share your thoughts on current events, local issues, national news, and political philosophies in a welcoming environment.
  • Diverse Perspectives: Connect with neighbors and fellow citizens who hold a variety of viewpoints.
  • Casual Atmosphere: No formal speeches or required topics-just good coffee and great conversation!

2026 is underway and Neva's campaign is full steam ahead. Before she can officially run for Assembly District 5, she needs your help to reach one crucial milestone:

We need 857 Signature In Lieu signatures by February 4th.

These signatures help Neva officially qualify for the ballot and they also reduce the campaign filing fee, keeping this race people-powered and focused on community, not big money.

Neva will be at three coffee shops this week to collect signatures, go and see her there and sign-up.
