Keep up the pressure on Congress

ICE is out of control, ignoring the law and our Constitution, occupying and terrorizing communities, kicking down doors without due process, sending 5-year-old children to detention centers, illegally deporting people and shooting down American citizens in cold blood. We need to continue to keep up the pressure on our elected officials to hold the line in demanding reasonable restrictions on ICE.

With the Trump administration attacking democracy and destroying our rule of law, we must do everything we can to fight back and support Democrats running for office. Your donation today to AADC makes it possible for us to play a big role in making that happen.

AADC’s office space, used as candidate headquarters, for volunteers to write letters and post cards, canvass, make and distribute signs, Coffee and Conversation etc., is critical to sustaining our work. Your donation will help us pay the rent and keep the lights on at our AADC headquarters.

The Placer Dems are hosting a Democracy Workshop in Roseville on Sunday, March 15th, at 2:30 PM. Connect with other activists to find out what we're doing and what we're going to do next. By joining us, you'll collaborate with like-minded individuals and contribute to meaningful change in your community. You'll gain valuable insights, learn effective advocacy strategies, and strengthen your democracy organizing and mobilization skills. Together, we can make a real impact and protect the values we all cherish.

Saturday, March 28 stand in solidarity with friends, neighbors, and community members for the third NO KINGS mass mobilization.

In 2025, millions of Americans came together in nonviolent protest to oppose the growing authoritarian actions of the Trump administration and affirm that this nation belongs to its people, not to kings. Since then, people have continued to rise up nonviolently against the Trump administration’s ongoing brutality and abuses of power, including the latest escalation in Minnesota.

Here in Auburn we will gather together to raise our voices, uplift one another, and show that our community refuses to be silent in the face of abuses of power.

If you are finding the weekly update useful, and you are comfortable using programs such as Word, Publisher, and/or Constant Contact, please considering joining the weekly update team. We are looking for 1 or 2 people who:

Want to make a contribution to AADC of your time and skills
Have experience with programs such as Constant Contact OR are willing to learn
Can contribute 3-4 hours every other week to put together the weekly update
Stay up on the latest events happening in our area.
