2019 Officer Elections
If you are interested in running for an AADE MidCon board position in 2020, please send your name and what position you might be interested in serving to [email protected] . All submissions must be in by December 13th, 2019.
Chapter Officers and their duties in general will be as follows:

Section 7.01. President:
1) Preside over both general membership and Chapter Board meetings.
2) Authorize Chapter expenditures with Board approval.
3) Appoint committee chairmen.
4) Direct Nomination and Election Committees.
5) All other duties as approved by the Board of Directors.
Section 7.02.1: First Vice-President – Oklahoma City:
1) Assist President and preside over meetings in absence of President in OKC
2) Serve as parliamentarian at chapter meetings, in His Area.
3) Direct program committee.
4) Direct arrangements committee.
5) Direct membership committee.
6) Direct activities committee.
7) Direct membership committee.
8) Direct activities committee.
9) All other duties as approved by the Board of Directors.
Section 7.02.2: First Vice-President - Tulsa:
1) Assist President and preside over meetings in absence of President on Tulsa.
2) Serve as parliamentarian at chapter meetings, in His Area.
3) Direct program committee.
4) Direct arrangements committee.
5) Direct membership committee.
6) Direct activities committee.
7) Direct activities committee.
8) All other duties as approved by the Board of Directors.
Section 7.04. Secretary:
1) Coordinate and maintain Chapter correspondence.
2) Maintain official copy of By-Laws, and maintain records of all Chapter business such as Treasurer's report, membership roster, list of officers, etc.
3) Record both the minutes of meetings and votes, and provide a timely report of same to all members of the Board.
4) All other duties as approved by the Board of Directors.
Section 7.05. Treasurer:
1) Maintain bank account for Chapter funds.
2) Make disbursements authorized by President.
3) Account for all chapter funds and make financial reports as required.
4) Accept dues and issue membership cards.
5) Prepare an annual budget for Board approval.
6) All other duties as approved by the Board of Directors.

Get Involved!
The MidCon Chapter of AADE currently supports student sections at OU, OSU, KU and TU. We are seeking committee members to help the chairman in supporting each student section. Please find information below and if interested in volunteering on the committee please specify which school and email [email protected] .
 
Student Section Liaison Roles & Responsibilities
1.     Maintain copies of all Student Section data that is sent to the AADE chapter or AADE National. Reports to National should be done early each semester to timely reflect changes related to graduation, transfer, etc. Coordinate with Student Section to timely provide the following information November 1 and April 1.
2.     Verify appropriate handling of Student Section funds:
3.     Assist Student Section in ideas for speakers or meeting themes and fundraisers. 
4.     Ensure that a representative from sponsoring Chapter visits the school at least once per semester at their general meetings or fundraising event(s).
5.     Coordinate student travel to Chapter meetings and assist with arrangements, sponsorships and expenses if necessary.
6.     Promote AADE scholarship opportunities. Ensure scholarship applications are available.
7.     Develop relationship with Faculty Advisor. Discuss how sponsoring Chapter can assist the school with resources, grants and training seminars (i.e. Well Control Schools).
8.     Promote participation, technical papers and posters for the Bi-annual National AADE Conferences and any local Chapter Technical Conferences or Symposiums.
9.     Ensure the student section remains in good standing b meeting the following requirements. Failure to do so could result in suspension or dissolution of the student section

The AADE is one of the most prestigious technical/professional organizations in the world and being an AADE Student Member is considered a noteworthy achievement by drilling industry professionals and executives. . 
1.     Student membership provides students the opportunity to meet practicing professionals and active members in industry while still attending school.
2.     Student membership provides an opportunity for members to interact with drilling professionals in the field and office settings.
3.     Student Members may attend AADE-sponsored meetings, conferences, and section meetings at a reduced price or free of charge.
4.     Student Members may apply for financial assistance from AADE-sponsored scholarship programs.
