“More Than Painting The Line: Optimizing Asset Value With Wellbore Placement”
Speaker:
Marc Willerth, VP of Survey Technologies, MagVAR
Before joining the MagVAR team in 2016, Marc worked at Scientific Drilling’s Applied Technology Center providing global wellbore positioning support for magnetic and gyro surveying systems and fit-for-purpose positional uncertainty model design. Prior to that he was an M/LWD field engineer for Schlumberger. He enjoys speaking on surveying practices, survey corrections, and positional uncertainty modeling, and has done so for the SPE Wellbore Positioning Technical Section, IADD technical forums, internal client trainings, and generally anyone else willing to listen. Marc is a member of the SPE and an active contributor to the API RP 78 Recommended Practice on Wellbore Positioning. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and currently resides in Denver, CO.

At this year's Bass Tournament, Bruce Hinkle won the raffle for a striper fishing trip.
