Managed Pressure Drilling provides a system in which bottom hole pressure is balanced and pore and fracture pressures are managed with the system. The EMW and ECD can be supplemented by surface backpressure, which can save time, help avoid mud losses, and avoid pressure fluctuations through the wellbore. This presentation is aimed at giving an overview of how it works and how it can help save operators time and money.
