February 2021 Update
Greetings AADO Members,
This month I'm excited to share my recent contribution to the AFP President's Perspective Blog .....
Let's pause a moment to learn about the amazing nonprofit organizations founded by our ancestors in Canada and the US. Follow the link below to give them a shout out so we can acknowledge them in the AADO March Newsletter

Established in 1934 in Canada
A Huge Thank You to the February AADO Newsletter sponsor!
"Graystone appreciates the opportunity to partner with AADO and sponsor this issue of the newsletter. Through client feedback, we have learned the value that AADO provides to those organizations that recognize the need to have diversity present in their development groups. We will continue to promote AADO to our college and university clients."

George Bailey, President
 The Way I See It
So, we have a new federal administration. Now what?

On January 20, 2021, many of us sat glued to our television screens to witness the inauguration of Joseph R. Biden. Perhaps you, like me, allowed yourself a faint sigh of relief, a breath, when the threats of another siege on the Capitol building did not manifest. After President Biden and Vice President Harris were sworn in, perhaps you also joined me in asking, now what?
This addition to the AADO Newsletter invites members to submit an opinion piece that presents their view on a current topic with a focus on philanthropy. Interested members should send an email to aadevofficers@aol.com subject: Contributing an opinion piece.

AADO has recently made
4 successful matches.
A special and heartfelt thank you to Jill G. who for 10 years has worked behind the scenes with AADO on our website, newsletter, job postings, and hundreds of random things, often at the last minute. Jill offered to help when she was just graduating from high school and has stayed with AADO through graduations, her marriage, a mission to South America, and most recently the birth of her precious little boy, Aiden. AADO would never have been able to have the presence we've had over the past decade without Jill's commitment, talent and the "friends and family discount"!! Now Jill is leaving AADO to focus fulltime on motherhood. And she will be an awesome mother!! We will miss her more than words can say.

Take care Jill. You will always be an important part of AADO's history. We wish you, Gilberto and baby Aiden God's blessings.
--------Birgit and the entire AADO Family.
