October Update
Hello AADO members,

Happy Fall. We are so very sorry this month's AADO October Newsletter is late. There is so much going on and it's hard to keep up with no staff and all volunteers. Thank you for your patience.

Make sure you check out all the job postings. These organizations have made an extreme effort to post their available jobs with AADO. Take a look and then share with others. We must increase diversity in the fundraising profession. Let's make sure everyone knows about these opportunities.

Be safe and continue to lift one another up during these challenging times.

The book Collecting Courage: Joy, Pain, Freedom, Love is a powerful and moving collection of personal experiences written by 15 Black fundraisers that chips away at the idea of an inherent goodness of the charitable sector. It is edited by sector experts Nneka Allen, Camila Vital Nunes Pereira and Nicole Salmon. â€śThe time for Collecting Courage is now,” says Salmon. “It’s undeniably our stories, told by us and for us, publicly sharing and claiming our lived experiences as Black women and men working in the nonprofit and charitable space. Many of the stories are unbridled, disconcerting, pain-filled and uncomfortable and yet, they also reveal and celebrate the diversity and fullness of our lives."
