A Message From Our President

Ryan Hall
2018-2019 AAF Toledo President

I am honored to be serving as President of the
board for the American Advertising Federation of Toledo!
Formed in 1909 (originally named Advertising Club of Toledo), this next year will mark our 109th year as a club! To this day, AAF Toledo remains dedicated to providing professional education and promoting fellowship among members and the community they serve.
Over the past four years, I have served on the board of governors as part of several different committees. My involvement as a board officer has helped me grow both personally and professionally. My goal as president over this next year is help you to gain important knowledge about the ever-changing advertising industry while growing your professional network.
The best way to receive the most benefits from your AAF membership is to help out on one of our many committees. This is a great way to get involved and grow your network! We would love to have your input, and you do not need to be on the Board of Governors in order to participate.  To find out more about our committees, please reach out to Patty Schoepf by clicking HERE.
Our most participated social event, AdBASH , is only a month away!  On Thursday, August 9, we will be at the sand courts downtown at The Docks for our annual volleyball tournament. Don't forget to sign up your team or sponsor this fun filled event! Food, water, and t-shirts are included with registration and a cash bar will be available!
I look forward to serving as your AAF Toledo President and hope you will join me at one or more of our many events this year!

The President's Award Goes To ...

Every year at the end of their term, the club president may give the President's Award to a person or business for their contribution to the club. This year, Casey Pogan presented two awards.
Lucas Stall - Manager of Digital Marketing and Public Relations at United Way of Greater Toledo
In his first year on the AAF Toledo board of governors Lucas led the creation of and chaired the newly formed Committee on Multicultural Diversity & Inclusion. This committee under his direction announced the addition of a new award category "the AAF Toledo Mosaic Awards" at the annual AAF Toledo ADDY Awards. The AAF Toledo Mosaic Awards recognize companies, agencies and individuals whose commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident through their creative work.
Additionally, Lucas spearheaded the introduction of the Mosaic Series - and with his team executed a very successful first event - Creating Workplaces the Work for All at the Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion on Thursday, April 26. The half-day workshop introduced the significance of multicultural diversity in the workforce, what it means to be an inclusive leader in the workplace, how to recruit diverse talent, and most importantly how to retain that talent.
In recognition of his commitment to multicultural diversity and inclusion, on behalf of AAF Toledo, thank you Lucas Stall for sharing your vision with us.

Michael Seay - Director at SensoryMax & design2influence - MadAveGroup
Michael has served AAF Toledo since 2007 as a board member, officer, past president, District 5 Officer and most recently is as AAF Fifth District Governor for which he is just finishing his term. Michael has chaired and hosted the annual AAF Toledo ADDY Awards for the past 8 years and is an active participant in the club's social and educational programming throughout the year.  Last year Michael worked with AAF Toledo to implement the Mosaic Committee of Diversity & Inclusion, which follows the important dialogue happening at AAF nationally.
Michael's commitment to the AAF locally and beyond has earned him widespread respect and admiration through all levels of the organization. We are fortunate and proud to have Michael Seay represent AAF Toledo and the local creative industry on a regional and national scale.
Thank you Governor for your continued service to AAF.
Congratulations to Lucas and Michael for continuing to make our club better!
