Who Am I?
My place of birth is:
Adrian, MI
My hobbies are:
Antiquing, watching college football (Go Blue! Maybe this year...sigh), social time with family and friends, and snuggling with my toy poodle Murray.
My oddest habit is:
Frequently checking to see if I have anything stuck in my teeth.
Device I couldn't live without:
I hate to admit it, but my iPhone. Just the other day, I was frantically looking for it before I realized it was in my hand.
My greatest accomplishment outside my profession:
Being independent. I've made some tough decisions over the years - from divorce to changing jobs - because my happiness was at stake. I eventually landed a job that I love and fulfills my need for creativity, I purchased my own home, I fixed the ice maker in my fridge, and I've raised "The best dog ever...yes hims [sic] is! That's right! Who's the best boy ever??
You are, Mr. Murray!"
The reason I got into advertising/marketing:
In high school, I signed up for Yearbook Class because I had heard it was easy. I ended up really enjoying graphic design and layout work, but I never thought of it as a future career. I ended up studying communications and psychology in college and a week after graduation I was hired as a Communications Coordinator. That position eventually morphed into an advertising and marketing role, while resurrecting my passion for graphic design. The rest, as they say, is history.
Biggest influences on me professionally:
College doesn't teach or prepare you for the inner workings of day-to-day office life. I didn't realize it at the time, but my first supervisor after college taught me many invaluable lessons that I still follow today: always over-prepare for any meeting, be 10 minutes early for everything (I admit, I still struggle with this one), keep your workspace tidy and organized, take as many notes as possible in every meeting, give sincere acknowledgement and praise to those who deserve it, wait 30 minutes before writing or sending an email when you're angry, and always take pride in your work - even if it's just stapling papers (no one likes staples that hang off the edge of the paper).
My greatest unfulfilled ambition is:
Taking my mom on her dream vacation to Paris. Oui oui!
When nobody's looking, I like to:
Eat dry Cheerios in bed.
I am:

Hires Dental Care has been committed to providing the finest dental care experience for children and adults since 1974. Our team specializes in general, cosmetic, sedation and implant dentistry, as well as TMJ / headache relief, and same-day emergencies. Our modern equipment and techniques, like high-resolution digital x-rays and lasers, allow patients to receive comprehensive treatment that is quicker and more comfortable.
We understand that dental appointments can cause anxiety in some patients. To help alleviate that anxiety, patients may choose amenities from our Comfort Menu, such as massaging dental chairs, Beats headphones, eye masks, warm blankets, pillows, and different levels of sedation.
Our four highly-educated and trained dentists work side-by-side with each patient to tailor a treatment plan that suits their needs. Recommended procedures are thoroughly discussed and explained, allowing patients to ask questions and play an active role in their treatment planning.
Because our community has been so good to us for 44 years, Hires Dental Care enjoys giving back. Each November, our staff is out and about during Black Friday to hand out cash to shoppers. And every May we hold our non-profit event Stars, Stripes and Smiles, where we provide free dental care to local veterans. Since 2010, we have provided over $191,000 in dental treatment to 1,050 veterans. Our 9
th annual event is May 11, 2018.
But the main reason Hires Dental Care has been one of Toledo's top-rated dentists for so long is our people. We're not only pros at providing first-class service, but we're experts at making each and every patient feel welcome and comfortable.
Hires Dental Care - exceeding expectations; changing lives.

How to Submit a Guest Blog Post to AAF Toledo
The ideal length for a post is between 850 and 1,000 words and must not have been previously published.
Come up with a great idea. To be considered, AAFTOL blog topics should be related to advertising, marketing and communications. Write something that you would want to read yourself.
Send a proposal. Send a brief proposal to
director@aaftoledo.org. Please do not send the full article. Keep it brief: a tentative headline; two or three sentences explaining what the blog will be about; and one sentence saying why you are qualified to write it. Based on this proposal AAFTOL will let you know within three business days whether to submit the article.
Write with the reader in mind. Writing for the web is different from writing for print. The best way to organize the piece is to start with a brief set-up that hooks the reader. Then organize the rest in segments.
Assume the reader is busy and has a short attention span. Short paragraphs and headings within the article make it easier to read.
Include a brief bio at the top. Your name; the name of your company (with a link to your website); and if you've written a book relevant to the article, the title of that book with a link to the Amazon page or to your website if the book is available for sale there. If you tweet, please indicate that, and include a link to your Twitter profile page.
Submit the completed article. Please submit your final version by pasting into the body of an e-mail, or attach it as a Microsoft word document. Your submission will be reviewed by AAFTOL editorial board. If we have any questions, comments or concerns, we will contact you.
What happens next? AAFTOL will acknowledge receipt of the blog within 24 hours, and let you know within a week whether it has been accepted for publication. If it is, AAFTOL reserves the right to edit the article, including changes in the text, subheads and headline, to improve readability and maximize web traffic.
