Who Am I?

My place of birth is:
Toledo Hospital
My hobbies are:
Boxing-competing/training professionally & coaching as certified USA Boxing coach to youth in the city.
Traveling, eating good food, spending time with my daughter, relaxing because I am always on the go.
My oddest habit is:
Curling my eye lashes...ha ha. I think my lashes when not teased are straight & boring.
Device I couldn't live without:
Smartphone - it enables me to listen to my audiobooks & music playlists while I work out.
My greatest accomplishment outside my profession:
3x National Boxing Champion; 6x State Champion, 6x Toledo Golden Glove Champion.
City of Toledo-Mayor Jack Ford honored me with Proclamation to City & City Council gave me Resolution to city after my 2nd National Title win.
The reason I got into advertising/marketing:
Marketing is exciting & there is money to be made in this industry. Partnering with local business owners to assist in generating a powerful campaign while delivering market share to them is rewarding. I am a key factor in assistance to their dream.
Biggest influences on me professionally:
My mother, Wendy Leszkai
My greatest unfulfilled ambition is:
Opening my own gym where I help youth & women gain confidence in themselves by teaching self-defense while coaching them to achieve their physical fitness goals.
When nobody's looking, I like to:
The one thing I really want the world to know about me:
I am easy going, free spirited & very blunt individual.
Best thing about being an AAF Toledo member:
Meeting new people, networking & obtaining new ideas off the experiences with the speakers & members to help generate ideas for local business owners.
I am:
Jenna Johlin-Thompson
Media Consultant

A Message From Our President

Ryan Hall
AAF Toledo President

November brings one of the most valuable events we provide for the community, The Internship Event!
The Internship Event is a collaborative effort by AAF Toledo, the Press Club of Toledo and PRSA Northwest Ohio. This event brings together students, professionals and prospective employers for a unique networking and educational experience. This event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn on Saturday, November 3rd.
There's no better way to find ideas for your holiday gifts then by attending the Our Favorite Things program on Wednesday, December 5th at the Hilton Garden Inn! This fun afternoon features live entertainment, raffles, door prizes and goodie bags. Did I mention there would be a cash bar? For more information about participating as a vendor, please contact Patty at .
The ADDY Awards are the first of a three-tier, national competition.  Entry in your local American Advertising Federation competition is the first step toward winning a national ADDY. It is not too soon to start thinking about your organization's ADDY submissions for this year. Check out our social media pages for pictures and info from past ADDY Award winners.
If you would like to become more involved with the club, we have several committees that could use your help! We would love to have your input, and you do not need to be on the Board of Governors in order to participate.  To find out more about becoming involved on one of our committees, please reach out to Patty Schoepf by clicking HERE.

St. Paul's Community Center

Thank you to the October 17 Lunch & Learn attendees for donating to St. Paul's Community Center.

For the holidays and all year round, St. Paul's assembles "Welcome Home" baskets for homeless individuals who get housed. For a homeless person who finally walks in to his own apartment, having a can opener, tissues, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies is heartwarming feeling and another step in the right direction. Any items you can supply to St. Paul's towards this goal will help. Our volunteers put the baskets together.

Company Profile

Buckeye Broadband works hard to be the company you look to first in today's digital world for staying connected to family, friends, and the community. For more than 50 years, we have invested in the growth of northwest Ohio, the well-being of its citizens, and the health of the local economy. We do this by employing people from the local community and by providing area residents with the most advanced products and services. As our lives require increased access to email, shopping, banking, streaming, research, travel, entertainment and much more, Buckeye Broadband continues to reinvest in technology and in the community. In addition, since its inception in 2004, BCSN has been bringing high school sports to viewers throughout the Greater Toledo area. In 2017, we introduced programming that showcases the arts and humanities through BCAN. Engaging students, their families, and the community at large in local sports and arts, and through a combination of strategic relationships with local nonprofits, employee volunteer activities, and other community investments, Buckeye Broadband is committed to helping revitalize and strengthen the communities we serve. #LivingLOCAL
