AAIDA will host speciality pharmacist and AAIDA Medical Advisory Board member, Michael Rigas, PharmD, for our 6th educational webinar of 2022.

Dr. Rigas will discuss the following during his presentation:

  • Describe non-compliance in treatment adherence due to affordability and cost associated with filling high-cost prescriptions for patients
  • Share specific attributes of drug manufacturer sponsored patient financial assistance plans as well as options available from non-profit organizations
  • Review steps patients can take to start the process of applying for financial assistance from their local pharmacy

Following his presentation, Dr. Rigas will conduct a live 15 minute Q&A session with attendees. This webinar will be recorded live and made available on the AAIDA website and YouTube channels as a resource for our community.
AAIDA Supports Continuation Of Telehealth And Virtual Care For Patients

AAIDA and 374 other organizations signed onto a letter sent to lawmakers on September 13th, to advocate and support the continuation of telehealth and virtual care access for patients. The letter requests The Senate to pass a two year extension as well as a potential permanent extension for virtual care. The full letter and associated organizations supporting it can be reviewed below.

AAIDA’s & IAF Advocate For A Patient Assistance Program With CSL Behring

AAIDA and the Infusion Access Foundation (IAF) recently teamed up to advocate with other patient advocacy organizations to request CSL Behring to put a patient assistance program in place for their life-saving IVIG medication, Privigen. Access our request letter here. Help AAIDA and IAF advocate for patients by signing onto and supporting this initiative with us.
AAIDA Supports World Lung Day

AAIDA wants to help education our community about asthma and other lung conditions in multiple regions of the world on September 25th during World Lung Day with our friends at Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP). GAAPP recently published "Asthma Care Access: The Voice Of The Uncared", which is a short documentary about the challenges of getting care for asthma in various regions of the world.
