Recycling Shoes? Please Tie Them Together!
|

If you are recycling your shoes at Fremont Township, please tie or rubberband them together. It makes it so much easier for me to sort the shoes without trying to match them too. We recycle between 400 and 500 pair a month. There is a bin on our front porch.

Homeowners Turning 65? Have You Filed for Your Senior Homestead Exemption? It Will Reduce Your Property Tax Bill
|
|
Fremont Assessor, Joe Herchenbach is urging those eligible to file. Homeowners 65 and older are eligible for this exemption on their property tax bill. (This does not apply to Saddlebrook Homeowners)
SENIOR HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION
This exemption lowers the equalized assessed value of your property by $5,000.00, and may be claimed in addition to the General Homestead Exemption. To receive this exemption, you must:
- Have lived on the property on or before January 1st of the tax year.
- Have reached age 65 during the tax year.
To apply for the senior homestead exemption you need to visit the Fremont Township Assessor’s office. You will need to bring proof of age when you apply.
If the property is held in trust, you will also need a copy of the trust agreement indicating the beneficiary and signature page.
Please call 847 223-2846 if you have any questions.
