Dear AAS 223 Attendee,

Are you an early-career astronomer (grad student, postdoc, early faculty) interested in outreach? Are you a mid-career (or beyond) astronomer who knows early career astronomers interested in outreach? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, this email is for you!

Early-Career Astronomers
Whether or not you’ve participated in outreach before, come be a part of the  FREE AAS Astronomy Ambassadors Workshop/Program ! Apply to participate in the FREE, two-day, skill-building workshop happening 5-6 January at AAS 233. You’re already going to the meeting, so why not?!? You’ll leave with new tools, improved skills, and the support of a cohort of over 200 like-minded astronomers (both from your group of Ambassadors and those who previously participated). The application deadline is 5 November.

Mid-Career (or Beyond!) Astronomers
I’d like to enlist your help TODAY in spreading the word about this FREE, two-day, skill-building workshop – the  FREE AAS Astronomy Ambassadors Workshop/Program  – happening 5-6 January at our upcoming Seattle AAS meeting (for which you are registered). Please encourage your early career astronomer colleagues (grad students, postdocs, and early career faculty) to attend. The application deadline is 5 November.

Thank you very much – we look forward to seeing you there! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Gina Brissenden
AAS Education & Outreach Coordinator
