AB 130 CALL TO ACTION

We need your help urging cities to join the coalition calling for repeal of AB 130’s harmful VMT housing fee provisions. Please contact your Mayor and City Councilmembers today and ask them to adopt the resolution opposing these fees, which would make housing significantly less affordable for California’s working families. Together, we can protect housing supply and affordability.

Preservation & Progress

BIA's Urban Council, along with coalition partners, will be submitting a letter to the City of San Diego addressing proposed code amendments aimed at updating San Diego's historical resources regulations.

ADU rollbacks with Daniel Shkolnik

BIA CEO Lori Pfeiler met with Daniel Shkolnik, CEO of Atlas West Group, last week to discuss the rollbacks the City of San Diego recently made to the ADU Density Bonus Program.

“These changes will lead to less units that are more expensive. The rollback of the program is a complete walk back of the city’s pro-housing stance,” said Shkolnik, whose company is a leading infill developer in the city and the first to take advantage of the city’s ADU density bonus program.

Support the Future of Housing in San Diego

We need your help to sustain the work of the BIA PAC for the 2025 year at the PAC's Annual Fundraiser on August 27th at Coasterra.

The BIA PAC supports candidates that are champions of housing and will work to improve our ability to build the housing this region needs. A healthy housing market supports a healthy business economy. If employees can’t live here, businesses won’t thrive.

Please join your BIA PAC as we work together to support the candidates committed to a brighter housing future.
