The Alabama Broadcasters Association will provide funding for 20 broadcasters to attend NAB meetings in Las Vegas during October, 2021.

The ABA is allotting $2,500 for each person to cover airfare, meeting registration and hotel accommodations*. Any expenses beyond this amount will be the responsibility of the broadcaster.

The ABA will conduct a drawing on
Friday, April 30th to select attendees.

  • To be eligible for the drawing, you must have been employed by one or more Alabama radio or television stations for a minimum of three years of combined employment.

  • Your current employer must be an ABA member station.

  • Your department manager or station manager must send an email to [email protected], submitting your name for the drawing.

  • Separately, you must send an email to [email protected] outlining what you hope to learn from attending the NAB meetings.

Only persons who have met the criteria and requirements by 4pm, Friday, April 30th will be included in the drawing.

Broadcasters who are selected will register for the NAB meeting of their choice and make their own airline and hotel reservations. You will be reimbursed for meeting registration and airfare upon making your reservations. Hotel receipts will be reimbursed upon your return. Again, the maximum allotment per person is $2,500.

*Accommodations in Las Vegas vary widely. Your hotel choice will determine how many nights will be covered under the ABA's $2,500 total allotment.

NAB Announces Dates for 2021
Broadcaster Events at NAB Show

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has set the dates for two of its signature events, which will be held in conjunction with the 2021 NAB Show in Las Vegas. A spin-off event of the annual Sales and Management Television Exchange (SMTE) will take place October 8–9, 2021 and the Radio Show, co-produced by NAB and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), will be held October 13–14, 2021. These events round out an extensive slate of professional development and innovation opportunities taking place during NAB Show, October 9–13, in Las Vegas.

SMTE and Radio Show registrants will benefit from access to the expansive NAB Show Floor (October 10–13) and All Access programming kicking off October 9, including NAB Show’s Mainstage events, featured keynote sessions and NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith’s State of the Broadcast Industry address.

“We are excited to bring these popular events under the NAB Show umbrella in 2021, offering a unique experience that is both familiar and new at the most comprehensive convention of its kind,” said Smith.
