Hey Friends of ABC!
Wow, is it hot out!
We know summertime is all about spending time outdoors and
barbecuing, but it might be time to start thinking about coming inside to one of our great brewpubs, enjoying an ice cold beer and relaxing in the air conditioning!
The summer months at ABC are a great time of year to come in and relax and take in a summer seasonal with friends. August brings about some great seasonal brews and is a sign we are getting closer to some great fall weather!
Our 19th Annual Capital City Invitational Beer Festival will be taking place on Saturday, September 10th! Get your tickets today, while you can still take advantage of Early Bird Pricing (which ends on August 15th!). Tickets can be purchased
here. This festival also kicks off our Oktoberfest and leads us into our fall beer season.
This week we are releasing our 2nd flavor in the Lily's Soda series, Lily Temple! It's a play off of a Shirley Temple. This cherry and lime flavored craft soda is delicious and sure to please!
As with the Lavender Lemonade, $1 from every purchase will be donated directly to The Child Life Program at Milton S. Hershey Children's Hospital! So, drink up in support of this wonderful program!

Get Ready!!

What's Going In Gettysburg?
Both Gettysburg locations will be participating in Gettysburg Rocks this year. Gettysburg
Rocks is a bi-annual music festival, held in February and August. The festival features
over 150 live bands across multiple venues in the Gettysburg area.
The event benefits
Four Diamonds, whose mission is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children
treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and their families through superior
care, comprehensive support, and innovative research.
This event will feature 120 bands
at 12 venues August 12-14, 2016. Visit gettysburgrocks.com for more info.

Chef's Recipe

Blackened Bleu Burger
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of fresh ground Black Angus Beef
- 4 Brioche rolls or your favorite roll
- 4oz of Blackening Seasoning
- 8oz of crumbled Bleu Cheese
- 1 medium yellow onion thinly sliced
- 2oz of butter
- 2oz of ABC Outta Focus Double IPA
- Salt and Pepper
- 3oz Olive Oil
Directions
In a medium sauté pan over medium-high heat; add butter and allow it to melt. Next add thinly sliced onions and lightly season with salt and pepper. Gently toss onions and in pan and allow them to begin to caramelize. Next add ABC Outta Focus Double IPA to the onions in order to deglaze the pan again toss the onions gently to allow all the onions to caramelize. Remove from heat and allow to rest.
Next preheat a grill pan over a medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes. While your pan is heating up, begin to form the ground beef into four 8oz patties. Season each side of the patties generously with Blackened seasoning and brush with olive oil. Place the patties on the grill pan and heat for about 2.5 - 3 minutes before rotating the burger 90 degrees on the same side, continue to cook for another 2.5 - 3 minutes.
Flip the burgers and cook for two minutes before rotating 90 degrees and continuing to cook for another 2 minutes. Mound the Bleu cheese on top of the burger and grill for one final minute to allow cheese to start to melt. At this point the burger is a nice medium temperature. Remove burgers from grill and place on the bottom of a sliced Brioche roll, pile the reserved caramelized onions on the burger and top with the Brioche roll and enjoy!
