Details:
Students in two kindergarten classes have been reviewing the letters of the alphabet with an ABC countdown to summer. Both teachers, Angela Scaccia and Jennifer Santiago, align their activities with the NYS Common Core Learning Standards while also teaching community inside their classrooms.
The kindergarten classes at School No. 17 are coming together Wednesday morning to celebrate the letter “Y” with the theme Your Future Looks Bright. Students will celebrate by wearing hats and sunglasses, drawing pictures and writing about their summer plans, and then sharing their responses with one another.
