Along with the numerous efforts on many fronts to support our membership, we want to keep you all informed of the many engagement and advocacy efforts that are happening for our members during this difficult time as well. The leadership of ABCK- AmCham Kuwait have been in numerous teleconferences and webinars with several government agencies and AmCham’s from around the world to address the challenges we are facing today, share knowledge and best practices, and continuing to advocate for you. We announce many of these events for our membership’s participation as well, when allowed to do so.
We remain in regular contact with the US Embassy of Kuwait as they continue to do amazing work on numerous fronts to take care of US citizens, and execute diplomacy and support in the State of Kuwait in the midst of the pandemic. We continue to work on several initiatives with the US Embassy, and they are working hard to address the individual and business concerns of our membership conveyed thus far. They also continue to be at the forefront of repatriating US citizens, keeping US citizens informed across a full spectrum of concerns, and continually updating citizens through numerous platforms. We have also had significant engagement with the US Chamber of Commerce, US State Department, AmCham MENA and AmCham’s from across the globe as well. They are also bridging the knowledge-sharing, best practices, and information gaps by presenting subject matter experts, and by bringing together global and regional AmCham’s and the business community.

Since the start of this unfortunate pandemic, Del Monte Kuwait has strived extend our support to the government institutions with the possible means in hand. As that is said, we communicated with the Special Forces in Kuwait to offer humanitarian aid. Apples, Bananas, Clementines, Dates and more were offered to the ministry of interior as an act of solidarity.

Citi’s COVID-19 Community Relief Efforts Reach Over $65 Million Globally

Gulf Insurance Group (GIG) partners with KIPCO to combat COVID-19
|
GIG partnered with major shareholder, KIPCO and contributed in supporting the community to fight against Covid – 19. KIPCO’s group of companies contributed a total of KD 2.5 million to the Kuwait community. GIG launched various initiatives and social media campaigns including videos and posts with safety instructions, mask rules, social distancing and all we need to know about the Covid -19 pandemic. This is an ongoing engagement.
