Why did you join ABCK , and how long have you been with us?
As a Kuwaiti company that has been doing business with U.S. based clients for the past 25 years, it is very important to be part of this business community.
Have you found your membership to be beneficial?
ABCK has been playing a vital role for businesses in Kuwait to connect with each other through the many events and functions they initiate throughout the year.
As a Member, what are some things that you have seen improvement on, and what would you like to see us do more of?
A noticeable improvement has been witnessed with ABCK on many levels such as connecting with corporate members and promoting them through their many channels specially in newsletter and social media outlets. One thing we would like to see more of during this virus outbreak and lockdown period is supporting the business continuity by looking into other means of connecting the community together virtually, since social gathering is out of the question for the time being.

Interview with ABCK Chairman, Mr. Frank Belonus
|
|
Why did you join ABCK , and how long have you been with us?
I joined ABCK 2 and a half years ago after meeting some of its members and leadership. I was impressed with all they were doing in Kuwait not just for U.S. companies, but local companies as well. Like many of our members, I saw its value in networking, business development, knowledge sharing, meeting like-minded people and the opportunity to support my country in their efforts to improve U.S. trade and investment.
As part of the board, in your opinion, what are some things that have improved in the past years, and what would you like to see more of?
Shortly after joining, I realized I wanted to do more for our members, and for ABCK’s success, and was fortunate to be elected to the Board of Directors. I have been privileged to serve with an incredible group of Board members and Executive staff that have been dedicated to doing more for our members. Over the last 2 years, ABCK has almost tripled the number of events we hold or participate in, more than tripled member benefits, greatly increased promotion of our members and ABCK on multiple social media platforms, and advocacy and U.S. trade and investment on numerous fronts.
Since becoming the Chairman of ABCK in December, we have been challenged with regional instability and now the coronavirus pandemic, but we continue to remain focused on providing more for our members in new and creative ways focused on advocacy, benefits, knowledge sharing, promotions, networking and so much more. I am honored to serve as your Chairman, and remain dedicated to making ABCK more beneficial for all. No matter what challenges we face, we will face them together, supporting our amazing membership, committed to our members’ success, and the promotion of US trade and investment in the State of Kuwait and the United States of America.
