IRS announces Form 1040-X electronic filing options coming this summer; major milestone reached for electronic returns.
Making the 1040-X an electronically filed form has been a goal of the IRS for a number of years. When the electronic filing option becomes available, only tax year 2019 Forms 1040 and 1040-SR returns can be amended electronically.

Economic Impact Payments Updates
WASHINGTON – As Economic Impact Payments continue to be successfully delivered, the Internal Revenue Service today reminds taxpayers that some payments are being sent by prepaid debit card. The debit cards arrive in a plain envelope from "Money Network Cardholder Services."Nearly 4 million people are being sent their Economic Impact Payment by prepaid debit card, instead of paper check. The determination of which taxpayers received a debit card was made by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, a part of the Treasury Department that works with the IRS to handle distribution of the payments.

Kuwaiti Researchers Develop New COVID-19 PCR Test
A Kuwaiti research team has successfully developed a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test solution for the new coronavirus (COVID-19), Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported. The new test has excellent and accurate diagnostic results and proves another achievement and a milestone by Kuwaitis, Salman Al Sabah, head of Surgical Department at Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital told KUNA.

Kuwait- MoH launches drive-thru coronavirus testing site
The Ministry of Health inaugurated late Saturday a drive-through novel coronavirus testing center at Jazeera Airways Park & Fly facility at the Kuwait International Airport.
The center will help increase the number of tests carried out by the ministry to discover unreported infection cases, Health Minister Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah told reporters during the inauguration ceremony.

State Dept OKs $1.42B in PAC-3 MSE Missile, Repair, Sustainment Requests From Kuwait
The State Department has cleared Kuwait’s request to buy Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancements, program sustainment support and repair services under three foreign military sales agreements worth $1.42B combined. Raytheon Technologies
will serve as a principal contractors in this deal, which also covers U.S. government and contractor engineering, spare and repair parts and organizational equipment.
